Harley-Davidson has come a long way since William S. Harley drew the first blueprint of a motor designed to fit into a bicycle in 1901. Here’s just a little bit of the history according to www.harley-davidson.com. When he joined Arthur Davidson and made the first Harley-Davidson motorcycle in 1903, they were well on their way to making their mark on history. Their Harley-Davidson factory was an 11x15 foot wooden shed with the words “Harley-Davidson Motor Company” scrawled on the door. By 1904 the first Harley-Davidson dealer opens it’s door, and sells one of the first three production motorcycles. By 1906 a new larger Harley-Davidson factory was built in Milwaukee, WI and had six employees. Davidson’s two brothers, Arthur and Walter joined the company shortly thereafter, and in 1907 the Harley-Davidson Motor Company was incorporated. News traveled fast about the great ingenuity and design of the motorcycle, and soon the Harley-Davidson factory expanded again, and sold its first motorcycle to the Detroit, MI police department. The year 1909 brought the induction of the V-twin motor, which continues to be synonymous with the company name, and the rest is history! See more ...

I don't know about you, but when I go on vacation, my two biggest expenses are usually lodging and meals.
