Motivate With Trophies And Awards

I worked, during my years as an associate professor of English, in the community college’s learning center. There, we did tutoring in all disciplines, held auxiliary and other classes, performed computer-assisted instruction, and catered to students of general and specific income groups, ethnic origins, and abilities and disabilities. The latter three demographics were often part of a government-funded program that allowed us to serve, support, and give stipends and scholarships to financially and mentally/emotionally challenged learners as well as gifted students of low incomes. This meant we got to have contests, trophies and awards ceremonies, and thoughtful, seasonal events and celebrations.

Jean Francois Detaille, Extreme Art As Education

For years now, we have had the delightful (or disturbing) performance art, whereby, for example, an artist lies on a gallery floor tied in four-points, a bucket of water rests passively near his head, a live wire rests menacingly nearby, and the title of the performance piece is “Kick the Bucket”—the artist “inviting” someone to do so…to kick over the bucket of water near his head and near the live electrical wire. Next we had the advent of extreme sports: the rigors of football or boxing not cathartic enough (or belonging to an older generation and therefore not relevant enough), we felt compelled, for example, to fly over snow mountains not only on ONE ski but without poles—that one ski being the renowned snowboard-- to trade the board for a BMX and fly it over canyons…or, as did one renegade, over the in-progress Tour de France bikers.

Customer Service Job Explained

With the job market being so enormous these days, you shouldn't have any trouble finding a customer service job. When I say customer service job, I am addressing all sorts of work. Do you eat out a lot? How's the old customer service these days? Well, this of course varies from establishment to establishment, and person to person. Although our opinions certainly differ, no one has to ask; why is customer service important? We all want to be treated well and acquire that friendly service we all deserve. Having worked in customer service jobs for over eight years, I can tell you that it is sometimes a stressful and thankless business. However, when you deal with the public for a living and depend on their tips for your rent, you don't have to ask the silly question; why is customer service important? Believe me, you already know.

Staff Motivation

My auntie, when she was owner and CEO of a successful company (having to do with medical supplies for the fields of cryogenics), was, from what I heard, the queen of staff motivation. It was simple: she would take a call from a client, for example, who would mention how wonderful to talk to her administrative assistant was. She would then finish the call and walk out into the outer office and hand the administrative assistant a hundred dollar bill, saying thank you and saying how much she appreciated the good work.

Do You Want To Know About Customer Service Training?

Remember back in high school when you acquired your very first job? It was most likely a customer service position at the local grocery store, fast food joint, or gas station. Did you have any customer service training after being hired? Well, probably not. The boss most likely told you what to do, and that was about it. In no time you realize why customer service jobs are not so sought after. People just aren't as friendly as they used to be. In more modern times you can actually attain customer service training before tackling a bartending gig or waitress position, and it will probably do you some good.
